Who are we?

Policybrief has been established by Paul Evans with assistance and sponsorship from a few friends.

Paul Evans

Paul Evans is a freelance consultant specialising in the contribution that web-technologies can make to political and public life. He is currently working on a number of projects, including a number of local democracy projects with Slugger O'Toole - including the Slugger Awards.

Paul has also specialised in promoting web technologies to the Labour movement. He has worked on website projects for almost all of the major Unions and many of the smaller ones. Among other projects, Paul has recently worked on the Councillor.info project - a venture that he founded in 2002 while with Poptel Technology Ltd. 

Previously, Paul worked as an assistant to an MEP, specialising in the regulation of Digital TV. In his spare time, he helped the New Statesman to establish the first New Statesman New Media Awards in 1998.

Mick Fealty

Mick pecialises in New Media and Politics. He is also the award winning blogger behind Slugger O’Toole, and writes on Irish and British politics for the The Daily Telegraph's 'Brassneck' blog and The Guardian’s 'Comment is Free'.

He helped River Path develop its cutting edge Opinion Former Audit. Mick facilitates participatory events that parallel the social networking technologies that make online media so compelling.

Has written for the Financial Times, the Guardian, the Observer and the Irish Times.
